Published by Karl Baedeker in 1854, though it is registered on Baedeker official site as 8e Auflage, 1855. This is variant D007b. It is complete, xxxii, pp. 404, with 9 maps, 10 plans and 16 views. While the inside is quite well preserved and the front and the back of the original Biedermeier cover are fine, this copy has various flaws. It completely lacks the spine, there are traces of tape between the boards and both the first and the last card. It’s not lacking pages, but there’s a small tear in page 381/382, upper right corner, which caused the loss of some of the text. There’s a small sign of a higlighting pen at page 390. Pages 23 to 26 and 30 to 32 are present but detached. Since this is one of the oldest Baedeker, it is remarkable that it is complete, and the Biedermeier cover in nice condition is an addition to its value.
